Responsible Gambling
Gambling should be entertainment, not a way to make money. If it stops being fun, the tools below let you take back control immediately.
Set limits before you play
- Deposit limits. Daily, weekly or monthly caps. Set these at signup — operators make them effective immediately and slow to raise.
- Loss and stake limits. Cap how much you can lose, or the size of a single stake.
- Reality checks. On-screen reminders of how long you have been playing.
- Time-out. A short break, from 24 hours to several weeks.
- Self-exclusion. Blocks access for months or permanently. In the UK, GamStop covers every licensed operator at once.
Signs gambling is becoming a problem
- Chasing losses or borrowing money to gamble.
- Hiding the amount of time or money spent.
- Gambling affecting work, relationships or sleep.
- Feeling anxious or irritable when you stop.
